My second essay for the class was my rhetorical analysis. I titled this one "Politically About Race". The point of this essay was to use our class discussions that were about how writers make their arguments through rhetoric and analyze a text of our own choosing. We had to decide what the author was trying to prove and explain through logos, pathos, and ethos how exactly they persuaded their audience. 

The difficult part of this assignment was what text I wanted to analyze and then also deciding on what the author was trying to prove. I thought that finding quotes to help support my view of the authors claim was also difficult too because the text itself was more advanced than what I normally read. I felt that writing the opening was difficult and the thesis statement was hard for me to write beause it was long. But I feel I did a good job on it. If I were to go back and revise the essay I would fix the grammatical errors and also seek further into different quotes to use and explore how the author intented the quotes to be.
